Absentee ballot application DEADLINES

or apply using the online portal here

In New York, you don't have to choose between playing it safe—by submitting an absentee ballot—and going to the polls.

It is legal to DO BOTH.

If you vote at the polls, your absentee ballot will not be counted. If the unexpected comes up on election day, and you can't get to the polls, your absentee ballot will be counted.

After the application is processed an absentee ballot will be mailed to the address you provided. Absentee ballots must be postmarked by the indicated deadline for the primary or the  general election, or dropped off in person at the County Board of Elections one day before election day.  Absentee ballots may also be dropped at your polling place on election day.
