Town Update

ZRW 250-61A and 63 was reviewed last Thursday.

Oct 1st Supervisor Ray Oberly will be announcing that the official town budget workshops will be replacing zoning workshops until budget is approved.

Proposed Short-Term Rentals Law update- The Town Board had a lengthy discussion at the September meeting and Councilman Michael Whitton  is incorporating the various comments for further discussion at the October meeting. The Town Board may vote to schedule a public hearing for the new law in November.

Event Center zoning update- a draft has been reviewed by the Town Attorney, Ag and Markets, and Dutchess County Department of Planning. Public discussion and vote will be at the October Town Board meeting on October 8th

This year for the first time NYS is offering Early Voting.  Anybody who is registered to vote can vote at any of these sites:

  • Rhinebeck Town Hall

  • Millbrook Fire House

  • DC Board of Elections

  • Unionvale Town Hall

  • Fishkill Town Hall
